Habitat for Humanity Corpus Christi, Inc. is Awarded $50,000 from the Cheniere Foundation

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (December 01, 2022) – Habitat for Humanity Corpus Christi, Inc. (HFHCC) has been awarded $50,000 from the Cheniere Foundation. The funding from this new partnership will be invested to support the Aging in Place and Critical Repairs programs throughout the San Patricio County.

The Aging in Place program focuses on homeowners over the age of sixty-five in need of home modification(s) that address mobility and safety needs so they can continue aging in their own home. A direct partnership with the Area Agency on Aging of the Coastal Bend (AAA) will identify qualified families in need of services offered under this program. HFHCC will also accept direct referrals from Adult Protective Services.

The Critical Home Repair Program seeks to help low-income homeowners with much-needed key home repairs so that they can continue to live in a safe and decent home allowing HFHCC to serve more people in their communities with neighborhood revitalization and critical home repairs.

This new partnership enables us to continue providing affordable repair program assistance that makes it possible for existing elderly and low-income homeowners in the San Patricio community to remain in a safe and stable living situation.
